Jesse and Kendal’s Friendly Skies

Seat 2A is the friendly skies without the mile-high club initiation.  Couples who meet on a flight, what could be better! This is my jam – like seriously!!  So, when I read the synopsis I am all in.

Jesse Evans is feed up with men! So, when she takes a flight to Whistler, Canada to attend her best friend’s wedding, the last thing she wants or expects is the hot arrogant guy in seat 2A.  Kendal is fascinated by the girl reading Cosmo and Jesse is appalled at the $40 neck pillow he’s sporting with the price tag.

Kendal meeting Jesse on a flight is the stuff fantasies are made of. It makes the perfect romance swoon worthy as the sparks fly at 30,000 feet. The takeoff was exhilarating as they travel.  It’s fill with moments of pure comedy complete with hilarious bouts of body fluids. However, after the landing it becomes a case of missed connections worthy of Craigslist.  Yeah, you’ve read those posts. Don’t pretend you have NOT!

In a series of lost connections, Kendal and Jesse wend their way through 7 years of highs and lows. Until another happenstance occurs in a local grocery.  It’s fate spinning their thread at the best and the worst of times.

This is when the story loses some of its spark for me.  I admit, I am turning the pages late at night because I must know how the happy ever after will work itself out. It’s complicated and questionable how the reader can champion it. It’s the puzzling unknown factor that will keep you reading.

In conclusion, if you enjoy sweet romances with the sex scenes mainly away from the page, this will be your jam.

BLURB

When Jessie Evans, a Georgia Southern University cheerleader, leaves for her best friend’s wedding the last thing she expects is for the seat next to her to be taken. After all, she’d only canceled Seat 2A hours prior after catching her boyfriend cheating.

Kendal Vargas, son of a Spanish emigrant fashion guru, is on his way to Whistler for a “mancation”. Running to buy a neck pillow before his flight, Kendal bumps into Jessie Evans. Kendal is in a hurry. Kendal does not stop to help her. Kendal forgot his neck pillow and the plane is about to leave and hey—who could travel without a neck pillow?

Charmed by Jessie’s beauty, and watching her board his very plane, Kendal takes a whim and changes his seat to one he hopes would be next to her. Jessie ignores Kendal’s attempt to be chatty but when their connecting flight gets canceled overnight, the pair has a chance to make a real connection.

Seven years later, Jessie bumps into Kendal in the produce aisle of a Portland grocery store. No neck pillow is involved, except there is a beautiful little girl who looks just like him. Fate has given them another shot but will Kendal’s whims keep them apart?
