THE WIVES by Tarryn Fisher is LIVE!!!

“You’ll have whiplash until the very end.”—New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover

A tale of madness and delusion – THE WIVES is the feel-bad read of the year. Why? Because I wanted to be shocked with the ending. It was bit of an anticlimax. I wanted to throw something at the wall in anger because I didn’t see it coming. There is little wrong with the first 25% of the book. The slow deliberate pace will fool you. To keep you reading, you develop scenarios regarding what’s going on.
Thursday is sharing her husband with two other wives and have become curious and envious of who they are. She is the perfect housewife and looks forward to her day of the week she spends with Seth. Since there are four major characters, you must wonder why you do not have at least 3 POVs. Thursday is the singular POV and of course you don’t know what is real and what is deceit.
At the 50% mark, the purpose of the book is revealed. Thursday is trying to discover who Seth really is. It sets up the tense thriller moments to have the reader wondering which characters are being truthful. You will guess where this book is going, and you will be wrong. If you like to be tricked, manipulated and surprised, you will love this book. Which leads to the bloody ending: Did the book really happen?

New York Times bestselling author Tarryn Fisher delivers a pulse-pounding, fast-paced suspense novel that will leave you breathless.  A thriller you won’t be able to put down!

Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him.

But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.

What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.

You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.

HANDLE WITH CARE by Helena Hunting

New York Times bestselling author of SHACKING UP and I FLIPPING LOVE YOU Helena Hunting mixes humor and heart in this scandal-filled romantic comedy.

Handle With Care is the love story between Wren the handler/babysitter and Lincoln Moorehead, the acting CEO.  I wanted this story to be so much more. I wanted more push and pull between Wren and Lincoln.  Wren is a PR consultant hired to repaired the image of the scandal ridden organization of  Moorehead Media mainly because of its current CEO, Armstrong Moorehead.  She hopes the assignment will open doors to pursue future endeavors in funding her own passion projects.

When the prodigal son, Lincoln returns home for the funeral he is not a happy camper.  He has managed to distance himself from his family and only endure enough until he can return to his life away from Moorehead Media. Suddenly he finds himself the acting CEO and dealing with Wren.

Wren transforms Lincoln from a bearded mountain man to Mr. Madison Avenue CEO.  Their attraction grows as they spend time together ultimately in a secret affair.  Lincoln’s mom and brother is very much against it.  Gwendolyn and Armstrong are desperately trying to retain control of the family business, money and status.  This is the angst of the story.  As family secrets are revealed, Lincoln has to focus on reconciling his past relationship with his father.

As you read, you may ask yourself where is the drama, action, and romance.  Don’t get me wrong, the first meeting between  Wren and Lincoln was priceless. However, all the chemistry was slowly lacking until the second half of the story.

For fans of Hunting, the witty dialogue and sexy scenes  do not disappoint. For a slow burn love story, Lincoln is very yummy in a geeky kind of way.  It was a delight to see Wren being a sexy confident single woman who is not afraid to express what she likes and wants in the bedroom.  The heat between them are enough to singe the eyebrows.

Between his parents’ messed up marriage and his narcissistic younger brother, Lincoln Moorehead has spent the majority of his life avoiding his family. After the death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the drama. To top it all off, he’s been named CEO of Moorehead Media, much to his brother’s chagrin. But Lincoln’s bad attitude softens when he meets the no-nonsense, gorgeous woman who has been given the task of transforming him from the gruff, wilderness guy to a suave businessman
Wren Sterling has been working double time to keep the indiscretions at Moorehead Media at bay, so when she’s presented with a new contract, with new responsibilities and additional incentives, she agrees. Working with the reclusive oldest son of a ridiculously entitled family is worth the hassle if it means she’s that much closer to pursuing her own dreams. What Wren doesn’t expect is to find herself attracted to him, or for it to be mutual. And she certainly doesn’t expect to fall for Lincoln. But when a shocking new Moorehead scandal comes to light, she’s forced to choose between her own family and the broody, cynical CEO.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of PUCKED, Helena Hunting lives on the outskirts of Toronto with her incredibly tolerant family and two moderately intolerant cats. She writes contemporary romance ranging from new adult angst to romantic sports comedy.

Former Chicago cop Mingus Black is used to liars. So why does the PI believe a teacher who insists she’s being framed? Joanna Barnes is totally convincing…in more ways than one. The chemistry between Mingus and Joanna becomes perilously potent, but until he can find out who framed her for a heinous crime, everything they love hangs in the balance.

Title: Boss
Author: Katy Evans
Genre: Romance
Publication Date: March 5th, 2019
Harlequin Imprint: Desire
“We play by my rules now.” —Kit, the new boss
Who does Kit Walker think he is? The trust-fund heir waltzes in and wants to boss me around, but if I catch him misbehaving, his father will yank his inheritance. Stalemate, right? Not when our chemistry is irresistible! Ironically, we run the top dating app. Could this be my “perfect match”…or the perfect scandal? —Alexandra, the one in charge
BOSS is one of my favorite tropes. Plus add enemies to lovers and you can not go wrong. This latest read from Katy Evans is tame. Not what I was expecting.
With Alexandra Croft its all work and success. For years, she has become the best web designer for Cupid’s Arrow, an online dating app. Yet when her boss Alastair announces his retirement it becomes her duty to guide his son and make sure he is groomed to be the new CEO. A crazy scenario considering why not make her acting CEO instead? Imagine that story??!!!
Alex is smart, sexy and determined to build her perfect life. Suddenly she’s tempted by a man who’s totally off-limits – her new delicious boss – Kit Walker.
Emotions run high as Kit’s  infuriating presence causes sparks to fly both in and out of the office. But a vicious smear campaign may prevent  Alex and Kit’s happy ever after.
In closing, I believe the Desire platform prevents  the hotness and bad boy vibe I want from Katy Evans. I was introduced to her via Manwhore and its that spicy, explosive banter I want in my romance. If you have not read Katy Evans, this would be a great introduction. However, the heat she is known to generate comes from her titles in the Real and Manwhore series. Check them out also.
Katy Evans is the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of over a dozen novels, starting with her blockbuster debut romance, Real. She writes sexy contemporary romances with smoldering hot alpha males.
