Stevie may have dreamed of a new life and new career with her boyfriend, but never of being without a place to live because she caught her ex-boyfriend cheating.
She refuses to ride on the shirt tales of her superstar NHL brother, but she does accept his help with housing and meets the bane of her existence – Bishop.
Bishop and Stevie are like oil and water. They do not mix. But Stevie offering her help in his rehabilitation becomes a win-win situation for them both. She gets a high-profile client without big brother’s influence, and he gets the opportunity to skate back on the ice sooner rather than later. He hoped her help would save him but working with Stevie will be hard. Especially because of the full-blown attraction and the last thing he wants to do is hurt Stevie and his chances of being on the hockey team.
I love Stevie’s character. She was strong and determined. Bishop was more like a kid playing grown up. But this boxer shorts made great dialogue and became a character of its own. Speaking of dialogue, it was witty and laugh out loud. Bishop and Stevie first meeting was hilarious and worthy of all romantic comedy accolades. I read this book over a 4-day time span. Every night I was craving to finish all my adulting so I can snuggle in with more Bishop and Stevie. Many times, throughout the story, I wanted to slap Bishop on the back of his head. He just didn’t get it sometimes.
A Favor for A Favor is the second book in the new hockey romance series from Helena Hunting, the first of which – A Lie for A Lie. This is however a standalone title, and its not necessary to have read the first book in order to fully enjoy the second.
Rook Bowman, the hero of Lie for A Lie, is the brother of Stevie Bowman and the current Captain of Seattle’s NHL team. Both Rook (RJ) and his wife appear in this book. You will enjoy reading about the dire predicament Stevie finds herself as RJ’s baby sister and you will love revisiting old friends from the previous book.
A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR is filled with heart and humor about two people finding their way home with each other. Stevie and Bishop know everything about hockey and nothing about falling in love. When the off the ice secret takes a turn to seduction it creates a huge interference between Stevie and Seattle’s NHL hockey team.

Book Description from Amazon:
From the New York Times bestselling author of Pucked and A Lie for a Lie, a new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love.
When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?
Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.
So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.
