I hated their torment and I even dislike Rika for a while. It was obviously she was in a situation way above her head. My mantra was: “play with fire little girl, get burn , now live with said burn.“ Then suddenly I thought to myself would I be able to read how dark it could get. The feminist in me struggle with this enlightenment. But that’s the beauty of this story.

 

Then the game change. The one thing they didn’t count on was Rika playing it better. She refused to fall into victim mode. She knew how to fight back with a violent and sexual edge. I was cheering her on. I was singing to the ceiling you go gurl !!!!

Within all the dark elements of CORRUPT, it a shame this book is easily a one hand read. Nah just kidding. It’s no shame. It’s pure toe curling . Douglas made foreplay so stimulating you actually forget and forgive there are rare scenes of actually penetration. UNTIL THE STEAM ROOM. THAT DAMN STEAM ROOM. DID I MENTION THE STEAM ROOM. MY BAD !!! Grab this book now – and close the blinds. I’m just saying!!!!

CORRUPT was an unpredictable read. You will be held captive on the edge of your seat waiting and predicting. I spent a week with these people. Trust me, you won’t be able to put them away. It’s terrifying, haunting and guaranteed to push your anxiety level through the ceiling. After everything you will be shocked and thankful how Douglas weaved the romantic element and its ending.
