#BookReview | Church by Stylo Fantome

Remember Pumpkin and Honey Bunny from Pulp Fiction?
This is Church and Emma….They are so good at being bad together.

Well damn! Bookies described this book as strange | My take: Emma & Church are twisted and dare say soulless with an insatiable appetite to create havoc and pain in people’s lives simple for their own personal pleasure. Difficult to have sympathy for Emma and after finishing the book I still don’t. Church was deliciously silent and its amazing how the author could create dialogue from silence Kuddos for that.
Church is manipulative with psychopath tendencies. However he does find his moral center by the end of the book. Emma scares me. Hell has no fury like a scorned woman they say – its even more diabolical when she’s willing to kill for love

“He’ll see that I’m a tornado, that I’m a tidal wave, earthquake, hurricane…that I’m everything he could ever possibly want.”

In closing, Church was the playbook and the next one will surely become the game It’s a train wreck to read, I had to finish it to see how far is too far with these two. The sneak peek at the end of the book proves how Emma and Church graduates to the next level.

A broken girl.

An unusual boy.

A beautiful face that hides a dark secret and an ugly past.

Sealed lips which hide wicked words and dangerous thoughts.

She would kill for him to love her.

He just wants to kill.

Maybe, if Emma Hartley prays hard enough, Church Logan can make both their wishes come true.

Fuse, meet match.
