THE BACHELOR GONE BATSHIT CRAZY
Side Note: I believe in reviews without spoilers. As a reader, I feel it’s my duty to give a good accounting on what readers should expect from reading this book. If this review appears to be filled with spoilers, I apologize.
Do you see the warning above? This time it’s not a marketing gimmick. Please take notice of the author’s warning. I started reading this book on my kindle during a flight and had to put it away. This is the book you do not read in polite company. I was looking around to make sure no one was reading over my shoulder.
The luxury of Kindles, iPads, and Nooks are the secrets they hold – the smart, dirty books with the filthy language we all love and expect from our favorite romance authors. For Wicked Bride Games, even your Kindle is not safe. As a reader who has been 29 for many years, even I was not old enough to read this book. It’s a total mindfcuk. And I know Amazon will kick this review back for language however the book cannot be reviewed without “offensive language”
Wicked Bride Games is a thorough gruesome story with plenty of eerie images to give you chilling nightmares. It will leave a bitter taste in your mouth when it’s over. The scenes of torture and death are brutal and explicit. It will linger in your memory long after the last page.
The purpose of Wicked Bride Games takes THE BACHELOR and ask what will happen if the losing contestations are killed? There are references to suicide, madness and mutilation.
Grim, shocking, violent, terrifying and downright creepy are just a few adjectives to describe Wicked Bride Games. The line between good and evil is erased with evil coming out on top. The three brothers have a morbid fascination with inflicting pain on the women in the name of “playing the game” of twisted sexual urges and perversities.
This is dark stuff and not for the weak. Readers of Stephan King may enjoy the gore, darkness, tension and mystery. The author proves a great book does not always have or need a satisfying ending. If the author manages to make you feel awkward and uncomfortable, they have succeeded. Wicked Bride Games is pure catnip for lovers of dark reads.
Excerpt from Wicked Bride Games
“Don’t you understand that I’m the only one here who gives a shit about you?” he growls.
I try to shove him away, but he won’t let me go, so I slap him instead.
He releases me from his grasp, and I step back, watching him with a hawk’s eye. He touches his face with his hand, his fingers grazing his beautiful skin, and it’s at this moment that feels most vulnerable. Most afraid. Because whatever he’s going to do or say next isn’t good, and it’s my fault.
“I …” I stutter.
He comes toward me, and I stumble backward until the balcony is right behind me and there’s no way to flee. He’s got me cornered, and his eyes predict thunder, but I’m afraid I can’t handle the electricity.
I close my eyes, expecting the inevitable.
Instead, he grabs my face with both hands … and he kisses me.
He fucking kisses me.
And I don’t even fucking pull back.
What the hell?
His lips smash into mine, and he ravages me without holding back. I’m helpless to stop it—not because I can’t, but because my body doesn’t want him to stop. His tongue dips out to lick my lips, coaxing me to open my mouth and let him in. I do, without hesitation, and he claims my mouth and tongue like it’s always belonged to him.
I’m completely stunned. I can only stand here and allow him to conquer my mouth, even though it makes no sense. I should hate him for putting me through all this. I should push him away and fight back. But I don’t … and I hate that more than I hate anything.
In a moment of clarity, my lips unlock from his, and I lean away, staring at him because I can’t believe that just happened.
I’m not exactly the kissing type … but that was amazing. And wrong. So fucking wrong, I might’ve even liked it.
“I told you I only want you. It’s the truth,” he whispers, his voice heady and sultry. My lips still tingle from his kiss, and I can feel the excitement surging through my body. Goddammit.
“I don’t give a damn if you slap me. I probably deserved it.”
