THREE SWEET NOTHINGS is a sexy and red-hot read and the second chance romance story line enhances the Blindfold Series. From the beginning, fans of the series will welcome the clothes coming off immediately. Told from the dual POV’s of Kyle and Ruby, the plot is fueled with trust issues.
Kyle finds himself in the last place he ever wanted to be and managed to escape – working for his father. Circumstances in New York provided enough stimulus to bring him back home to Chicago. While working as the attorney on a high-profile divorce case, it brings him back to his college sweetheart – Ruby on the opposing counsel’s side. Years ago, Ruby and Kyle broke up under the worse of circumstances. And it’s going to take some serious negotiations for each of them to believe they can have a life together.
As attorneys, they handle the situation in the only way they believe can work: as a sexual contract. Fans will see shades of grey in the story line and it’s not a bad thing. We get to witness a DOM in training and that’s what threw me more into the spicy story line. One word to describe the training: SCORCHER.
We are treated with all the delicious bites of dirty talk and carnal desires to keep the toes-curling and the breathing shallow. Plus the book surprises with its metaphorical approach to baking macaroons – a very tasteful treat. It’s a must-read for those who enjoy their KINK with couples.
Five years ago, we’d been together and on fire, but the flames burned us both. Now she’s back in my life and is all my wildest fantasies in the flesh.
I want her. The desire is too powerful to argue against, but I’m not interested in what we had. This is an arrangement about pleasure and finding out who we are behind closed doors. There won’t be talk of love or any sweet nothings whispered by either of us.
This time, I’ll control the heat between us and make sure neither of our hearts get too close to the flames.
