Did I forget to say OMG! I read a teaser online stating “if you have not read a CD Reiss book yet, make Secret Sins the book to start” from this amazing author. I totally disagree with this!   Ok, let me explain myself before I get a book shoved at my head.   Buy this Book!  Place in on your “What Do I Read Next Shelf.”

Audio Review: Secret Sins by CD Reiss on Mile High KINK Book ClubNow, that’s done, right? Alright, let’s continue. Read all about the Drazens. Start from the beginning and introduce yourself properly.  It will take some time.  However, to feel the impact of Secret Sins it will be worth the sleepless nights and the inadequate respect you will have for many mornings to come.

Secret Sins will put you on a collision course guaranteed to shatter your core and everything you know.  This is Margie Drazen’s story. She is the oldest sibling in the Drazen family. CD Reiss is known for her unforgettable sex scenes and unique dirty talk.  This time around is all about the story of Margie and how she handles band mates Strat and Indy, not to mention her family. For a young woman still in high school she has a surprising sharpness of being “wise beyond her years.”

Secret Sins is told from Margie’s POV through the years 1982 and 1994.  This era before smartphones and social media shouldn’t be so sexy right?! Well, yeah it kinda is when CD Reiss is writing it.

I purchase the audio on release day.   Elena Wolfe, as narrator, can read a cookbook and I will be enthralled in the directions.  She has the right amount of sass and knew when to throw it at you.   I have been listening to it and teasing myself prolonging the inevitable.  All good things must come to end.  But did you have to do this to me Christine!  Where is the reset button?

I leave you with this:

16 minutes of my life has forever change. 16 shocking minutes have turn my world upside down.  I can only imagine what it has done to the Drazen Family.  I have replayed the secret over and over.  It feels staggering as the first time.  Rewind. Go Back.

The Drazens have been with me since 2013 per my Amazon purchase history.  I still have more books to read.  In the words of Sam and Dean from Supernatural:

“I have some work (reading) to do”

Synopsis

A brand new, edgy, sexy standalone from CD Reiss. Her name is Cinnamon. Cin for short. Band mates Strat and Indy don’t know anything about her except she’s smart as hell and sexy as heaven. They can’t agree who gets her, so they do the only thing two best friends could do. They declare her off limits to both of them.

Margie, AKA Cinnamon-you-can-call-me-Cin, has a thing or two to tell these guys. Nobody “gets” her. She’ll let them know which one she wants when she can decide between them. Until then, their little pledges and promises aren’t her problem. Her family is her problem. Her friends. And the world-famous blues rocker who has her cornered. He’s her problem too. This may be one problem she can’t fix without some help.

Secret Sins is a standalone novel with an HEA, an edge just where you need it, and a shocking twist at the end. It’s recommended for people over the age of 18 with an open mind and a love of super hot stories.

About the Author
CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up, she’s at the well, hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

Critics have dubbed the books “poetic,” “literary,” and “hauntingly atmospheric,” which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she’s some sort of braggart who’s too good to chop a cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
