With Halloween fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to break out the scary romance novels. The following five novels are all supernatural erotic romances, and, of course, they are extremely kinky! Along with all the steaming-hot alpha vampires, demons and wolves, you’re sure to get your fill of sizzling sexual encounters. There are even a few racy ménage scenes in the mix…
Tayla Mancuso is a demon slayer with the misfortune to land herself in a hospital run by demons disguised as people. When she meets the head surgeon, Eidolon, she is struck by unquenchable desire, and the feeling is mutual. Eidolon finds he cannot resist this fierce and dangerous woman who leaves him consumed with both fury and longing.
Tayla must prove her complete allegiance to her fellow demon hunters by betraying Eidolon, who saved her life and sets her skin blazing with desire. As a hunter, Tayla is Eidolon’s deadly enemy, and she may well be the hunter who has been stalking his people. He needs to learn the truth about her, but he also needs to find his perfect mate before a terrible transformation destroys him forever. Eidolon and Tayla dare to risk everything to be together.
“Pleasure Unbound” is the first book in Larissa Ione’s series Demonica and has sizzling sex scenes, dark wit and sexy alpha demons. Larissa is an Air Force veteran who gave up her career as a meteorologist to write supernatural romance novels. Now she is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author who lives with her family and pets in Wisconsin.
2. “Feral Sins” (The Phoenix Pack #1) by Suzanne Wright
Wolf shifter and healer Taryn Warner has to avoid the arranged mating her father is trying to force her into. She strikes a bargain with Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a terrifying reputation. Despite her determination to do so, she finds it difficult to resist his charms. Taryn is captivated by his arctic-blue eyes and forceful attitude, so she enters into a tense alliance with him.
Taryn and Trey need to convince their respective packs they’ve chosen each other as true mates in order to save Taryn from a repulsive arranged mating and gain vital political allies for Trey. But their plan doesn’t come without problems. Their fierce attraction to each other makes it tough to maintain the deception.
The first book in The Phoenix Pack series by Suzanne Wright, “Feral Sins” contains lots of dirty talk, fiery sex and even a deliciously graphic ménage scene. Suzanne has always loved writing, as well as reading fantasy novels. She lives in Liverpool with her family, where she does her best to avoid housecleaning.
3. “Raphael” (Vampires in America #1) by D.B. Reynolds
Raphael is the most powerful Vampire Lord in California. He has thousands of vampires under his command and holds immense power over all vampires. But Raphael has to ask for help when a vicious group of Russian mobsters abduct the one female vampire he’d die for. When he realizes vampires he trusted have betrayed him, he’s forced to turn to Cynthia Leighton, an intelligent and beautiful human cop turned private investigator.
The tough Cyn has had more than enough of the boredom of combing through old bank accounts and documents. Spying on philandering partners leaves her feeling sleazy. She’s more than ready for some real action, so she gladly agrees to help find the dangerous kidnappers. It doesn’t take long for her to realize the biggest danger she faces isn’t the kidnappers; it’s the gorgeous Raphael himself.
“Raphael” is the first book in D.B. Reynolds’ series Vampires in America. The book’s tough heroine and sensual alpha vampire are an excellent combination that leads to lots of sexual tension and primal vampire sex. D.B. Reynolds lives with her husband near Los Angeles, where she writes award-winning paranormal fiction. When she isn’t writing her own books, she’s usually reading someone else’s.
4. “Fury” (New Species #1) by Laurann Dohner
Ellie discovers the pharmaceutical company where she works is doing illegal genetic experiments. They’ve managed to create strange new species by splicing human and animal DNA. Ellie is appalled by what they’re doing. Fury is one of the exotic creatures the scientists created. He’s an “experiment” and has spent his entire life chained in a cage and abused by humans. He’s never known love or compassion. That is, until he meets Ellie.
Ellie falls in love with Fury, and she’s determined to rescue him. But he hates her for saving him and swears that he’ll never forgive her. He believes she’s betrayed him after he finally allowed himself to trust her. Now that he’s free, he’s determined to get his revenge. He vows to kill Ellie, but when he finally captures her, he finds he just can’t resist her.
The first book in Laurann Dohner’s New Species series, “Fury,” has a wild yet protective alpha male, lots of tenderness and some incredibly hot sex. Laurann is a full-time wife, mother and author who lives in Southern California. She loves writing and reading and runs on coffee.
5. “Flesh” (Flesh #1) by Kylie Scott
When the plague broke out, most people became mindless, hungry, murderous lunatics. But some people were spared. One survivor, Ali, has been hiding from her hungry neighbors in an attic for eight weeks. Daniel, another survivor, has always considered himself a loner. When everyone he knows is taken by the plague, he realizes being alone isn’t as good as he’d expected. A third survivor, Finn, is also lonely. He’s a former cop who will do anything to protect any survivors he can find.
When Ali, Daniel and Finn meet, they band together. Despite the horrific situation they’re in, love and passion develop between them. Even as they struggle to survive in the urban wasteland around them, Ali, Daniel and Finn find themselves giving in to all their carnal desires.
“Flesh” is the first book in Kylie Scott’s Flesh series, and it combines action, humor and erotic romance perfectly. It has all the requisite steamy sex scenes, so the swelteringly hot ménage scenes are the proverbial cherry on top. Based in Queensland, Australia, Kylie is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author who enjoys rock and roll, love stories and B-grade horror movies.
All of these riveting novels are available as paperbacks, e-books and audiobooks on Amazon. If you choose e-books or the audio versions, it’s worth considering using a Virtual Private Network, such as one by Secure Thoughts, to protect your device. On the Kink Review Scale, I’d rate these as one-hand reads, so you’ll need that device if you want to keep one hand free. Given that all these books have strong alpha males and lots of sizzling sex, you’ll probably want to! That, along with the various things that go bump in the night, make these novels perfect choices for Halloween.
These are by no means the only excellent kinky and scary romance novels that are fun to read at Halloween. Tell us about your favorites in the comments section below.
