Lyric & Lingerie isn’t just another romantic comedy. It’s a fresh, funny and intelligent gift. Lyric Wright aka Dr. Lyric Wright is an astrophysicist who becomes “fake” engaged to star Quarterback Heath Montgomery of the Fort Worth Wranglers as a result of the ‘most outrageous tale’ to help her farther recover from heart surgery.
We have a captivating romance with perfect supporting characters. I loved her mother, Livinia and sister Harmony. Heath is a childhood friend who dated her sister. However, this time around, the sister that is setting his heart ablaze is the Agent Provocateur wearing and very literal Lyric. Imagine Sheldon from Big Bang Theory as a woman dating the sexy Quarterback. Now you got it!
Heath uses trickery to seduce her. Lyric may be the smartest person on the planet outside of Steven Hawking, but when she succumbs to the seduction, she is most definitely NOT a book worm devoted to cosmic supernatural black holes.
As I read this clever romance on a flight from D.C., I begin to shake with laughter of tears trying to NOT laugh out loud. The passenger across the aisle from me looks at me with a “WTH” look as if I am crazy. Lyric & Lingerie is sneak up on you funny. I have one phrase for you to check out: The Keurig Majora. If this zinger doesn’t seal the story perfectly to make you continue to read, you have no funny bone. Please feel free to comment and tell me that the moment when Heath and Lyric reconnect is the most epic flight ever.
