When I got the email I was approved for a Netgalley advanced copy of The Protector I screamed from the top of my lungs. Instead of jumping in and reading it quickly to devour it, I choose to stretch the time I wanted to spend with Jake Sharpe. He is one of those characters you can’t step away from once you have the Happy Ever After.
If there ever was a man that could be a hot mess and a sexy alpha together – that man would be Jake Sharp. Any man who can chivalrous pick you up in his arms and carry you like a child is always sexy.
Reason No #2: A true protective gentlemen ✔
A sexy 6’4’ pure male specimen wheeling a Heckler VP9 is automatically a true alpha male. However, when he fights an undeniable attraction, he becomes a weeping mess. If you are expecting more Jesse Ward alpha- ness, you will be disappointment. While Jesse Ward is over-the-top overprotective with no desire to back down from it, Jake Sharpe is overprotective because of duty. He can accept Camille being self-sufficient which he finds totally attractive about her.
The moment he acknowledges his true feelings, he is speechless and shocked. He instantly knows he is more than ready to take the next step with no questions ask. When Jake Sharpe loves, he loves hard.

The Protector is a sexy romantic suspense. Camille is in danger and she needs his protection. Jake will risk and fight everything to protect her – even his heart and secrets. The Protector proves how the power of love can heal even the deepest wounds.
Jodi is a must read author of mine. Her books leave you with an emotional attachment to lovable characters in kick-ass storylines. For me, it was a 4 star read until the last chapter. The final chapter broke me. My heart fell into a million pieces. I was left shattered with happiness and redemption for Jake.
You will surrender to this hot and steamy love story with a delicious dose of wicked love scenes. This will be one of those books that you will savor over and over. Make room on your book boyfriend shelf for Jake Sharp. He is the sexy hero you want to take into your arms, wrap him tightly and claim him as MINE. He will feel right at home with Jesse and Miller.
