Hitched, Vol 1 is the first book in the new series Imperfect Love by Kendall Ryan. In this new series, we have a frenemies-to-lovers story with Noah Tate and Olivia Cane. They are being coerced into marriage by their respective fathers to help savage their unprofitable company as part of an inheritance package.

Olivia does not care to attached herself to her playboy childhood friend much less marry him. I would have preferred Olivia to be more acceptable to the idea of the marriage considering the stakes. At times, she came across as spoiled. She spends too much time hating the idea of being married to Noah . She is determine to prove she can resist him. However, her body betrays her each time they touch and she is too competitive to give Noah the satisfaction she wants him.

Meanwhile, Noah doesn’t apologize about wanting Olivia in his bed. He is determined to save the company because he cares so deeply for its employees as well. As for romances, that’s a switch in the character development and a pleasant surprise to read. This is the reason why I love Noah. He is the perfect mix of alpha male and swoon worthy lover. For him, it’s a win-win situation. Not only will he help savage the company he is groomed to inherit, but he also gets the woman he wants.

The reader must remember this story is the introduction to the series. No fear, it has a cliffhanger. It may or may not make you “gasp”. And that’s the rub! I enjoyed reading Hitched. It incorporates a great mix of sizzle, dirty talk and hot foreplay. Because the angst between the characters did not create mutual satisfying sheet-pulling sex, the cliffhanger did not leave me gasping. Because its an awesome story line, I am looking forward to Vol 2 kicking up the heat and its toe-curling potential Ms. Ryan is known for in her books.
