The Millionaire Makeover is the latest installment in the Bachelor Auction series.  It can be read as a standalone, and I will be reading Beauty and the Bachelor next on my list from this author.

It’s the perfect formula for a great story: millionaire + best friend’s sister + forbidden attraction = hot sex.  It’s the  modern day Pygmalion.  The ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan.  However, in this case the ugly duckling is actually beautiful just with boring clothes.

Khloe, computer geek, wants to catch the eye of her boss. To help accomplish that, her sassy best friend buys her a date at a bachelor’s auction. She gets the BEST BFF award of the century for sure! Her theory: the best way to grab the attention of a man is to let him see another man wants her.

The lucky purchase is Khloe’s childhood friend turn one-night stand. It didn’t end well.  Niall enters her life again and help transforms her into the beautiful swan so she can charm her boss.

The arrangement proves very difficult for Niall.  Despite the years that have passed, he still thinks about Khloe and their one night together.  He stills wants her!  But to keep his promise to her deceased brother, he does what he can to help her.

The story takes you through all the usually setups.  Dirty talk, hot sex, and forbidden temptation.  Just when you start enjoying the happy and sexy moments (and there are many!) the author takes a detour into mourning, loss, guilt and forgiveness.  She does an amazing job creating a love story with loss and completes it with tears of happiness.
