Subject: You’re a flippin’ idiot
Good morning my dear, naive friend,
I hope you’re enjoying a breakfast of regret and sorrow.
Why?
Because you sent me to work for Dean Harper, aka a control freak in a tailor-made suit. Sure he owns the trendiest restaurants in NYC, but c’mon Jo, his ego makes Kanye West look like the Dalai Lama.
He’s the type of guy that only hears the word “no” when it’s followed by “don’t stop.”
Working for Dean Harper would be like selling my soul to the devil…and before you say anything, I don’t care if the devil has punch-you-in-the-gut brown eyes and an ass to match. My soul isn’t for sale.
Regretfully yours,
Lily
The Allure of Dean Harper is a full-length standalone romance with overlapping characters from The Allure of Julian Lefray. Both books can be read separately. Chronologically, The Allure of Julian Lefray happens first.

This book was gifted to me by the author for an honest review. 4 out of 5 KINKS
A delicious and satisfying romance with kick that also makes you laugh out loud. I was entertained from the beginning to the end.
How do you love someone but sorta hate them at the same time? Meet Lily and Dean! Lily is a take charge ballsy female who is trying to create her stamp in the culinary world of New York City. Dean is a millionaire restaurant owner who likes things done his way. Period.
Sure, she has a food blog to create the buzz, however she doesn’t have the money to pay for the food to review. What’s a girl to do? She storms her way into the upcoming and happening restaurant PROVISIONS. When she hits a snag in the hiring process, she jumps the bar and starts taking drink orders. For her, it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Besides, a girl has to pay the bills right?!
In walks Mr. Dean Harper, owner of Provisions. Their meet cute is epic. This is my favorite scene in the book. These two mix together like oil and vinegar and it’s not the raspberry vinaigrette mix either. He dislikes her on sight. He resents her opinions on his menu ideas. He disapproves of almost everything about her.
They don’t know each other and most importantly they don’t know they share friends with Jo and Julian. (I like to call them J squared 🙂 ) To protect the friendship and Dean’s next business adventure he is forced to hire Lilly as a consultant. He is left fighting for control of his ideas and ways of doing business, while Lily is busy trying to make the joint venture successful with her out of box ideas.
The only time they are not at war with each other is when they are in bed together. Lilly decides to call his bluff and voila, let the daggers fly. They speak SEX very well together. It’s outside the bedroom that is the problem. Will they ever work well together? Or will it continue to be a constant struggle. When they are not screaming and yelling at each other, they are trying to save his new restaurant from an unsavory business employee. Of course, with the help of Lily, Dean finds out sometimes doing things the Lily Way is the best way.

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things…everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things funny. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
