5 KINKS Review

Oh, my little bunnies…..

Book two of the Men of Baseball series did not disappoint.  If anything, it got hotter.  And it was very funny with awesome gag reels. It had everything I have come to expect from the author based on her first book, Pitching for Amalie. I was so glad to once again become a part of the sisterhood that continues with Amalie and the girls.  It was great to see they were still up to their usual sexual antics.  Its keeps you laughing your butt off.  Somethings don’t change and I’m glad it didn’t.

I fell off my couch laughing when I read:  “Cats? You do stuff with cats here?”

This shows the innocence of Maggie and why it’s so attractive to the men she meets.

I didn’t know the baseball catcher could be sooo sexy. I never thought to notice all that sexiness behind the face guard.  It goes to show you don’t judge a book by its cover.  Well, in this case you can because the hot cover matches the hot story.   I came across the Men of Baseball series because I was looking for a sports romance based around my love of baseball.  The first book was a surprise and a joy to read.   The character Maggie was introduce in Pitching for Amalie and it had me thinking:  What could be so sexy about a meek and quite woman? Well, it’s always those that you should watch out for.

Maggie’s marriage to Sammy, the starting catcher, was very suspect from Book 1. It’s that kind of angst that leads you to believe “I’m not going to like the Sam character in the next book”  Maggie meets Sammy on the brink of becoming a professional baseball player  She leaves the sex, drugs and neglect of her mom in Vegas for a new life in New York City.  She has the promise of a loving husband and a stable life that comes with a side of celebrity as the wife of a New York Yankee.

Through the love and support of Amalie, Victoria and Libby she finds a happy set of friends while keeping dark secrets.  Tragic circumstances forces Maggie to reevaluate her marriage and her desire to not remain a doormat.  She embarks on a journey of sexual awakening and finds that a new life may be possible after all.

Maggie is stuck trying to balance being a strong woman and a submissive.  Because of years of neglect stemming from her childhood, she thinks both traits can’t exist in the same woman.  She finds a new purpose in life while fighting the pitfalls of being a public figure.

So, the next time you are watching your favorite team play baseball, take another look at the catcher behind home plate.  Look very hard and notice the color of his fingernails too.  You just never know, he may be a sexy dominate seeking a woman who will submit her body, mind and soul to him and fall madly in love with her.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.  I read this book in one evening.  It was pretty awesome! It keeps you turning the pages and saying just one more chapter.
